On Tuesday February 12, 6 students filled a van and made their way to the World Ag Expo in Tulare. They got to see a wide
variety of agricultural products and even got to be hands-on with some of them.
What was your favorite part of the expo?
Carry- my favorite part of the ag expo is that they have alot of interseting things there but the best one was when we
got to go see all the colleges that were there. so i can get a head start to were i want to go.
William- I liked all of the tractors. They were really cool.
Eric- It was neat to see all of the different things there. The place was really big. I wish I was old enough to try to
drive the tractors.
Danny- I wish we could have gone to the tractor pulls because when we saw the videos, I was real excited. But I had a fun
time and the food there was good. I also got a lot of free stuff.
Javier- I got lots of cool stuff. I had a fun time and I want to go again next year because it was so big, we did not even
get to see the whole place. There were a lot of people there, some from other countries and I could not understand what the
people were saying.
Lucy- the school gilt gave birth to 13 Duroc piglets on Tuesday, January 22, 2008. Several students were on hand to aid in
the birthing process. Lucy is now a sow.

On December 9th, California State FFA President Catharine Kuber, and California State FFA Secretary Michelle Jimenez, arrived
in Avenal for their "tri-annual" visit. There are so many schools in CA with agriculture that the state officers
can only make it to visit every three years. They met with our classes and we had a great time getting to know them. Thanks
for coming!
